Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom →
I just finished watching this. I think I need to dunk my brain in a bucket of bleach. I can very much see the greatness in this film, but you need to be a strong person to get through it.

Excerpts from emails regarding hemorrhoids
Sibling: I’ve had hemorrhoids a lot :( They kill. If they start to feel like they are pulsing you’ll need to see a dr. A Thousand Lives →
A Thousand Lives by Julia Scheeres is easily the best book I’ve read in a long time. It’s all about Jonestown and is told very vividly and fully. It’s an incredibly sad book but fascinating, too. It’s all done in a very personal way, citing lots of first-hand sources. Highly recommended.

“I grew up in an alternate dimension where Nirvana didn’t exist.”
– Chad Thomas Johnston’s open letter to Nirvana: The Biography author Everett True hits close to home. I, too, grew up on Christian rock (“Chrindie” as we jokingly called it), and Johnston hits on artists like Starflyer 59 and The Prayer Chain that forever altered my love of music because, well, it’s...
